Should I use Adsense or YPN?

Adsense vs YPN is another classic Google vs Yahoo battle. Like Yahoo and Google Search Engines, YPN and Adsense both have their + and -’s. Personally, I use Adsense. I’m very used to their features and I they have always helped me within hours of sending an email. I came across this Adsense vs YPN table that I think is very helpful.

What’s the best color ads for my site?

One of the great features about Adsense is the ability to be able to easily edit the colors of the Ads to maximize income. Blending is normally the “best” option for maximizing income. Below there are the best 3 examples for your site. The best option is to play around with the Ads and leave them for 1 week. Then find the average Click Though Rate (CTR) and compare it to other weeks, using different Ad colors.

Blending

Complementing

Contrasting

Adsense – Contrasting

Many people think Contrasting your Ads will make them look ugly and decrease your Click Though Rate (CTR) , yes this is true in most cases. But it totaly depends on your audience. If they are tech savvy, Blending might be the best option. Contrasting does make the Ads stand out a lot more.

To Contrast, choose colors that stand out against the background of your site. Contrasting is recommended only for sites with dark background, so we suggest using a palette with white background, white borders, and blue titles.

Adsense – Complementing

Complementing is another way to possibly increase or decrease earnings. Using the effect of Complementing will make the Ads look like if they are a part but at the same time, they might stand out meaning more people will look and possibly click them.

To Complement use colors that already exist on your site, but don’t match the background and borders exactly where the ads are placed.

Adsense – Blending

Blending is what I use on my site. Blending looks like as if the Ads were a part of the site. Users normally react better to this and will click on the Ads because they look like a part of the site. If you blend Ads correctly your Click Though Rate (CRT) should increase, thus increasing revenue.
To blend, make the background and borders of your ads the same color as the background of your page where the ad is placed. If your site has a white background and you don’t want to spend a lot of time choosing ad colors.
Below is a example of blending

Simple way to increase Adsense earnings

Do you ever wonder why it is you get low clicks sometimes? 1 cents – 10 cents? This is because the Adsense Publishers are offering low amounts. Some times they offer a low amount because they have Adsense on their website too. And they might get 10 cents a click for every 1 cent they pay. These sites are known as “Made For Adsense” Yep, it does suck a lot!. But there is a way around this to increase your earnings.

Go to Adsblacklist, Sign Up, put in your URL and keyword, click generate. You will then get an extensive list of 200 sites to block.

Now go to your Adsense account, Click on Adsense Setup, Then click on competitive ad filter, copy and paste the websites you were giving from Adsblacklist . Now wait till Adsense blocks those sites.

Site back and let the earnings roll in.
